stewed daikon & beet greens
Stewed daikon with scallions, ginger, garlic, sesame oil, and cilantro, from Madhur Jaffrey's World Vegetarian bookbook. Improvised beet greens (free from the farmers market) with sweet hoisin sauce.
what is daikon? sometimes i stay away from veggies if i don't know what they are, which is kind of silly.
ReplyDeletedaikon is a big white radish. It's bitter like a radish when raw, but more like a potato when cooked.
