faux fish sticks with faux tartar sauce
Homemade tofu "fish" stick. Recipe from Shmooed Food. I didn't use the kelp granules, so they actually taste a lot like the Zoglo's cutlets. The tartar sauce is just nayonnaise with a wee bit of relish mixed in.
p.s. I made this for Vegan Cookalong, let me know if you want to join in on the fun and I'll add you to the blog team! We take turns suggesting a recipe each Friday then have a week to make it and post photos, comments, reviews...
I made these last night and was slightly dissapointed. I did use the kelp but I honestly thought they would be more flavorful. I think marinating the tofu before hand might help.
ha- I love the fish shape- and your bowl!
ReplyDeleteHow cute! That bowl is totally sweet!
ReplyDeleteadorable! the fish -- it's a fish! love it.
ReplyDeleteOkay, this is adorable. Is it tofu?
ReplyDeleteHiya! I added the recipe to my main post. It's pretty easy, and they taste good cold, too!
