Lime Cheese Cake

A perfect mix of tang and crunch. The nut, date and biscuit crust accompanied the tart and smooth inside of this Cheese Cake.

VeganCowGirl spent the afternoon in the kitchen, and this Lime Cheesecake was the sweetest recipe that made its way out of the oven.

Herbed cauliflower soup and tofu dill hero sandwich at Sacred Chow. The dill was in the vegan mayo.

un-cheese, un-bacon burger

I was in NYC over Easter weekend and did a lot of eating. It's the land of plenty for vegans! Check out this burger I got at Curly's Vegetarian Lunch. I don't know if you can tell by this photo, but the vegan cheeze was so melty and smooth!

Dr. Weil's Fruit & Nut Bars

Five new flavors of Dr. Weil's Fruit & Nut Bars, by Nature's Path: Goji Moji, Chocolate Walnut, Pistachi-Oh!, Chia Razz, and Banana Manna. All the bars are very satisfying and tasty, like dense fig bars, full of all-natural ingredients. Renate and I liked the Pistachio (pistachio chunks and lots of spice) and Chia Razz (sweet raspberry flavor) the best, although the chocolate was also a big hit (rich and coconuty).

Fire Starting Samphire Salad

Samphire is not the most common of ingredients, but it added an interesting and satisfying layer to a pear, lettuce and walnut salad base.

It can usually be found in the (yikes) seafood aisle of any well stocked grocery shop.

It must be soaked before using, but it is worth the extra labour.
