on a cupcake note, anyone have any thoughts on whether wedding cupcakes can be an adequate substitute for wedding cake?

I've seen a lot of wedding cupcake towers (both vegan and non-vegan) and I think they are festive and people might actually prefer them.

Wow, these gingerbread cupcakes look so seasonal and good right now!
