I wonder though, if there was a big t-bone along the side, would it look more like a steak? It's funny how much the original appearance and shape of a given meat affects how appealing we find the vegetarian version...
uh...thanks? I suppose it's pretty ugly, but we didn't eat it like that and I didn't make it to resemble meat. I just followed the recipe which says to make it into a size to fit the bottom of the crockpot. It's a really great versatile food and high in protein :) That roast turned into fajitas, burritos, & sandwich fillings. They were much better looking.

Well, to me it looks just like meat. I've never tried Ellen's recipe, but I've made other wheat meat recipes, and it's quite yummy stuff.
