BBQ tempeh, sweet potato, wilted kale and grilled red onion on toasted multi-grain bread, from Candle Cafe in New York. Served with a shallot sage aioli and a mesclun salad drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette.

Senegalese vegetable stew with "fish" balls
A veggie adaptation of tart vegetable stew with fish balls, from the sultry Seductions of Rice cookbook. Fishballs made of tempeh, parsley, scallion, garlic, cayenne, and salt. Stew packed with daikon, carrots, tomatoes, cabbage, and onions, in a vinegar, tamarind, garlic, and chili sauce.

heart-shaped tempeh patties + mashed veg

I made tempeh patties, except I used liquid smoke as a flavouring instead of all the Italianny spices the recipe calls for. Served with mashed potatoes, peas and pesto. Nummy!
