Vegan Molten Chocolate Cakes




Something special for Valentine's Day: chocolate cake (with hidden veggies) and a warm chocolate center. These can also be made as cupcakes.

I just looked at the recipe...really? Spinach in chocolate cake? It looks good and gooey!

Hi Carla,

The spinach (and zucchini) are only in the cake part; the center is a separate batter that you put in before baking. Oh, and cool that we are both in Toronto!

wow... that's one of the few recipes where I can't imagine the tastes in my head. can you taste the spinach at all?

I saw this recipe on your blog and was blown away- I've never seen lava cake veganized! And with veggies to boot!

I can imagine zucchini chocolate loaf, but spinach, not so much. I should try it!

Yes I'm in Toronto! I think Josh used to live here, too. Great place to be vegan. Looking forward to Bo De Duyen would re-opening.

I've made some awesome chocolate zucchini cupcakes. The Zukes make 'em nice and rich. But the filling of these, pardon the pun, takes the cake!
